Logistics helps AIESEC
to develop its activities
AIESEC
Sofia has collaborated with Alexander Logistics for two years
now, as providing high potential students to work in the company
for a period of two to six months.
The first trainee, who joined the company is Deniz Vanli from Turkey. His traineeship
lasted 3 months, from August to October 2003.
AIESEC is an international, non-political, non-profit, student-run,
independent, educational foundation.
It is comprised of students and recent
graduates of institutions of higher education who are interested in
economics and management.
By developing individuals, we contribute
to the development of our communities with
an overriding commitment to international
co-operation and understanding.
AIESEC facilitates international traineeship
exchanges and supporting activities that
provide practical learning experiences for
our trainees and that facilitate the learning of our members and other
stakeholders.
Nowadays AIESEC is
the international platform for young people
to discover and develop their potential.
Our innovative approach to developing
young people focuses on taking a proactive role, developing self-awareness
and a personal vision, building networks, and developing capacity
to drive change. We do this through
an international platform of opportunities that provides over 5,000
leadership opportunities, 3,500 work abroad opportunities, 350 conferences,
and virtual tools to build networks.
From 15 September till 15 December
2004 Daria Wojtulewska from Poland
worked in Alexander Logistics and
established relations between the company and its potential
partners in Poland.
Panagiotis Zantiotis is from Greece
and he started his traineeship on
15th of November 2004. He is still working for Alexander logistics
Ltd. During his traineeship he successfully raised a partnership
between Alexander Logistics and their new partner in Greece:
Intertrans. Currently he is involved in Sales – contacting the
Greek companies, which operate in Bulgaria, and finding new
clients among them.
A Serbian student, Nikola Garvic
came to Bulgaria on 15 February and
he is helping in the development and update of the web site
of Alexander Logistics. His interests are in the field of Information
technologies and he is satisfied with the chance of implementing
his theoretical knowledge on a practical level.
Since the 29th of August 2005, Dutchman Joost Ruhe is working at Alexander Logistics Ltd. as a trainee in the forwarding department. During his four month long internship, Joost will work on the creation of a new domestic price system, the establishment of a new partnership with The Netherlands, and on researching the Dutch - Bulgarian market in order to find new customers for this promising line. Furthermore, he is currently involved in organizing an assessment centre for highly potential Bulgarian logistics students.
